Anil Kapoor angers Freida Pinto

It looks like Anil Kapoor has earned Freida Pinto's ire. The Slumdog Millionaire actress who features as the guest in this week's Simi Selects India's Most Desirable, has confessed that Anil should not have spoken about her romance with co-star Dev Patel. Kapoor had stated in an interview that he could sense the chemistry between the two.

Says Freida, "If Anil Kapoor witnessed it when we were experiencing it, I must say that he is a genius... but he shouldn't have said it before we said it... I was at the red carpet and he is suddenly talking to Ryan Secrest (American radio and TV personality) and saying things that are embarrassing me and I was like what is happening... where do I look?" Guess Kapoor can only reply by saying a jhakaas! Tee hee!

Mika Singh kissed this time

Just when we were trying to forget Mika Singh's infamous kiss with Rakhi Sawant, here comes this news. Last week he was performing at a Delhi club, some giggling girls came in groups of two and three and kissed Mika on the lips on stage for the world to see. 


The girls seemed to be pretty enthused with this idea and kept making their way to the stage. When the singer was leaving post the show, a girl broke his security cordon and planted a last kiss. Looks like at this rate he will overtake Emraan Hashmi's title of being the most kissed!

Producer ShahRukh returns to smallscreen

Shah Rukh Khan, the producer, is back on the small screen. His production house is in the process of making two shows including Preity Zinta's chat show for a soon to be launched Bollywood channel. 

Earlier he had produced shows like Ishaan and Ghar Ki Baat. He had also planned to revisit Fauji (his acting debut) but it never saw the light of day.

Shah Rukh Khan is now all set to make the term ‘Putting yourself into someone else’s shoes’ come true, in true sense of the word. Here’s the deal - SRK’s Red Chillies Idiot Box and UTV Stars (UTV’s new channel) have come together with a show called ‘Live My Life’.
The concept of the show is that a film actor will choose his or her craziest fan, who will be picked up from anywhere like schools, colleges or even social networking sites.
This will be followed by the said celebrity star chalking out his plans for the day, including driving the fan in his/ her own car, working out at their gym, haircuts, photoshoots … and hold your breath, even resting in the star’s house! In short, the fan will be nothing short of the celebrity’s shadow for a stipulated day.
News has it that the stars with whom the channels are in talks with include the likes of John Abraham, Aamir Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and others, but the only names that are confirmed are Sonakshi Sinha, Rani Mukerji and Anushka Sharma. Zarine Mehta, the Chief Creative Officer of UTV Broadcast said that they started off with a plan of 10 episodes, but now it’s going to be 15. Source

Aamir Khan not playing Munna bhai

Is Aamir Khan the new Munnabhai? Has he replaced Sanjay Dutt in the hugely popular and successful film franchise? Well, that’s what a section of the media would like us to believe. According to these sources, producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra and director Rajkumar Hirani have now approached Aamir to enact the title role, thus taking the MUNNABHAI series to the next level. But the man in question, Aamir Khan, laughs off the development.

“Really? Is that what people are saying? I am unaware of it,” Aamir tells me. Even if Aamir is unacquainted with the rumor, will he step into Sanju Baba’s shoes and essay the lovable character of Munnabhai, if the makers offered him the role? “No way! I think there cannot be a better Munnabhai than Sanju. If the makers do approach me with the role in question, I would hand over Sanju’s cell phone no to them,” he smiles. Sanju Baba fans can heave a sigh of relief!

This is Shilpa Shetty's bald new avatar in her new movie The Desire. The Indo-Chinese venture has her portraying the role of a monk.
But the actress hasn't really shaved her head, she went in for a prosthetic make-up, which would take about four hours to do every day. 
The actress couldn't dream of losing her lustrous tresses for a role. The movie also stars Jaya Prada, Anupam Kher, Sachin Khedekar, and a Chinese actor Xia Yu.

Over the past two weeks, there have been reports of disputes over various issues between best buds Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt. A few days ago, they conveniently patched up.

While we've read what brewed in between, the flow of events between the two big stars force us to wonder if this feud was a well-orchestrated publicity gimmick for their latest television endeavour.

Ekta Kapoor detained at Mumbai airport

TV and film producer Ekta Kapoor, was detained at the Mumbai airport on her way back from Bangkok 
According to an official, Ekta was carrying undeclared luxury goods in the tune of Rs one lakh.

She was intercepted while she tried to pass through the green channel without declaring her assets, the official added.

After being detained she claimed innocence and said that she was not aware of the existing laws.
The Balaji Telefilms head was finally permitted to leave after being fined Rs 50,000 by the customs department.

In the past few months the Mumbai Customs is in the news for detaining big names including celebrities, politicians and businessman.

 June 2011: Actress Anushka Sharma was on her way back to India after attending the AIFA awards at Toronto, when the Mumbai Customs detained her for possessing undeclared jewellery worth Rs 35 lakh. She blamed her secretary for the entire mess.

June 2011:Steve Kean, manager of the well-known English football league Blackburn Rovers, was intercepted by the Mumbai Customs while he was crossing the green channel with gold jewellery worth Rs 3-4 lakh.

June 2011:Vikram Lamba, actress Mallika Sherawat's brother, was detained by the Mumbai customs department, for carrying undeclared British pounds worth Rs 10 lakh and high-end goods worth Rs 5 lakh. He was traveling from Dubai to Mumbai.

May 18, 2011: Minissha Lamba, who was returning from Cannes on an Emirates plane, was intercepted by the customs officials at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport for carrying undeclared diamond jewellery worth more than Rs 40 lakh. She was interrogated for almost 11 hours before being released in the early hours of the next day.

May 2011: Sangeeta, wife of Sajjan Jindal, was fined a sum of over Rs 10 lakh, for carrying undeclared diamond jewellery and other imported valuables worth Rs 60 lakh.

April 2011: Goa's Education Minister Atanasio Monserrate was detained at the Mumbai airport, for allegedly carrying foreign currency beyond the permissible limit.

Salman Khan directs Adi Chopra

Its a known fact that Bollywood superstar Salman Khan works according to his own rules.
Recently Yash Rash Films head Aditya Chopra had to experience that along with Kabir Khan.
Aditya Chopra wanted to have a script reading session with Salman Khan of his upcoming movie Ek Tha Tiger, directed by Kabir Khan. Salman, who rarely has had a script reading session set forth his own terms and conditions. Salman agreed to the script reading session only if it is comducted at his farmhouse in Panvel.

So Adi Chopra and Kabir Khan had to choice but to pack their bags and head to Salman's farmhouse at Panvel.
We hope they had a good time there.

Bollywood actress Lara Dutta Pregnant

Former Miss Universe and popular Bollywood actress Lara Dutta is said to be Pregnant with her first child with Tennis player husband  Mahesh Bhupati.

Says Lara “Mahesh and I are both extremely happy and blessed with this wonderful development in our lives. We are looking forward to having a new addition to our family.”

The delivery is expected to happen sometime around the new year of 2012. This year seems to be raining star children in Bollywood. First it was Sanjay & Manyata Dutt with their twins, then Abhishek & Aishwarya Bahchchan are also expecting this year and now the Lara.

Infact Abhishek tweeted to Lara, “Welcome on board”  to which she replied  "Thank you so much for all ur wishes and prayers. It’s an awesome time in life right now and Mahesh and I r both very excited abt the baby!,”

Bodyguard film Salman pics

After delivering three back to back block busters in a row,  i.e. Wanted, Dabangg and Ready, Salman Khan is back again with BODYGUARD. Starring opposite Salman Khan this time around is Kareena Kapoor, which is her third film with the Dabangg Khan after 'Main aur Mrs Khanna' and 'Jaaneman'. Bodyguard film is slated to release worldwide this eid on 31August. Karan : Sequel before original

Maverick Bollywood Filmmaker Karan Johar is wondering whether he should make the sequel for his movie, Student of the year, even before the first film releases.
Karan wrote on Twitter,
"With sequels exploding the box office...maybe I should make STUDENT OF THE YEAR 2....before I make the original!!!(sic)"

Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan responded to his tweet by sayin,

"Lets make Dostana 2 first please" to which Karan replied by saying,

Salman likes Ajay's body..

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, who is famed for his toned physique, seems to be amazed by Ajay's fit look in the latter's upcoming film, Singham.

Directed by Rohit Shetty, Singham casts Ajay Devgn and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles. The film is a remake of the successful 2010 Tamil film by the same name.

One of the Most eagerly awaited awaited movies of this year, Don2 starring Shah Rukh Khan, will be releasing this Christmas. The trailer of the movie will be releasing this Friday on 15th July.
It may be recalled that Director Farhan Akhtar had made Don in 2006 and had vowed never to make a sequel to it. But things seem to have changed and Farhan seems seems to have succumbed to his hearts desires.

The cast & crew of the yet to be released Don2 are in a major shock following the death of one of their crew members, Bibi. bibi, who was a German had been the body double for Priyanka Chopra in Don2.

Sanjay Dutt to do action in Ra.One

After hearing about Priyanka Chopra's cameo in Shah Rukh's Ra.One, we now hear that Sanjay Dutt is going to add more action in the film.
Recently Sanjay had beefed up his body for his role in the remake of Agneepath. Dutt will be doing an action sequence for the film. Dutt has never worked with ShahRukh before, except for appearing for a song in
Om Shanti Om.
Also International R&B singer AKON has sung a song for the film.

Singer Lady Gaga has expressed her desire to act in a Bollywood film.
Gaga told the Hindustan Times: "I have seen a few Bollywood films and I love how theatrical they are, and that’s my favourite part - that they are so surreal and full of fantasy."
However, when asked to name her favourite film she would not mention any specific title. She said: "I couldn’t name any one particular, I like so many,” and when quizzed on her favourite performer she was similarly vague, saying: "again I have so many actors and actresses that I love in Indie and I couldn't name just one. Kareena Kapoor had to cut short her Paris holiday with Saif Ali Khan by a day.


Sources say Bebo had promised the "Bodyguard" unit, especially Salman Khan, that she would be back in time. "The Patiala leg of "Bodyguard" was running out of schedule.


Salman pitched in and asked Bebo to join. She took a Delhi-bound flight from Paris, from there she travelled to Chandigarh and then to Patiala. She was tired from all that travelling, but managed to head for the shoot," a source says.
